After the first round of the German Cup, Stuttgart head coach Sebastian Hoeness, as well as players Alexander Nubel and Elmedin Demirovic, gave their post-match speeches.  

Sebastian Hoeness said after the game: "I want to congratulate the Eintracht Braunschweig team. They performed very well in this cup match. The continuous high pressure caused us a lot of difficulties. At the same time, I also want to affirm my players. They showed fighting spirit and remained calm."  

"We had four penalty kicks and if we had missed one of them, we would have been eliminated. Although we successfully advanced, I am still not completely satisfied with the team's advancement process."  

Alexander Nubel said: "I am very happy that the team has successfully advanced and I am also honored to be named the best player of the match. In fact, Braunschweig was close to victory with two goals. I did my best to fulfill my duties in the penalty shootout. Next, we will focus on the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach and hope to get our first victory in the new Bundesliga season."  

Elmedin Demirovic said: "This was an extremely difficult match and the whole team made a great effort. I am very happy to contribute to the team by scoring a goal. Although the game was full of ups and downs, in the cup competition, the most important thing is always to advance smoothly."
