Girona's new goalkeeper, Dominik Livaković, was the protagonist of the first of two press conferences held by Montilivi this week. He shared his initial impressions as a new member of the red and white team and expressed his strong desire to contribute to the team's development.
"When the opportunity arose to join Girona, I didn't hesitate," said Dominik Livaković. "This club is incredibly attractive to me and I came here to become the best goalkeeper I can be."
"Michel Sánchez is a very disciplined coach who pays great attention to tactical details and invests a lot of energy. I believe I will benefit greatly under his guidance. At the moment, I am focused on playing to my best. I have had many exchanges with Modric, who is my closest friend in the national team. He strongly recommended me to join Girona and spoke highly of Michel."
When asked about his Balaidos debut, Dominik Livaković admitted that he regretted not taking home three points. He said: "It's disappointing not to win in Vigo. I really like this team. We played well both defensively and offensively. Hopefully, we can get a little luck this week and get our first win."
“Although I’ve never been to Girona before, I’ve heard the food here is excellent. I’m really looking forward to exploring the city and the surrounding scenery and culture with my family.”
With his unwavering belief and strong ambition, Dominik Livakovic has shown the potential to become a key player for the team and is expected to help Girona continue to remain competitive on the top stage.
