Paris Saint-Germain lost 0-3 to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final and unfortunately missed the first Club World Cup trophy in team history.

After the game, coach Luis Enrique and captain Marquinhos were interviewed and admitted that although there was disappointment, the entire season was still worth being proud of.

Enrique said: "We played a very good tournament. Although we failed to win the trophy in the end, this is part of competitive sports and we must accept reality. Chelsea deserves to win. Now that the season is over, it's time to enjoy the holiday and recharge for the next season."

Despite the poor form in the final, PSG performed brilliantly on the way to the final, defeating several strong opponents. Marquinhos said in retrospect: "This is a game we cannot lose, but we failed to seize the opportunity and the overall performance was below expectations. We must reflect on this game."

"But we beat some really strong opponents and got all the way to the final. Not only that, but the whole season was incredible, winning the Champions League for the first time and multiple trophies in France."

The two also thanked the fans who have supported the team all the way. Enrique stressed: "Even in a moment of defeat like today, the fans still give us the greatest support."

Marquinhos also said with emotion: "We can feel the enthusiasm of the fans both in France and the United States. This season we have gained not only trophies, but also more love and respect from all over the world."

Although they failed to complete the Grand Slam, Paris Saint-Germain ended the season as the Champions League champion, Ligue 1 champion and cup champion, which was still a fruitful season.
