Bayern Munich have loaned goalkeeper Daniel Peretz to Hamburger SV on a one-year contract until the end of the 2025-26 season.
The 25-year-old Peretz will be a strong addition to Hamburg's goalkeeping lineup and will play in the new season wearing the No. 26 jersey. Peretz moved from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Bayern Munich in 2023, becoming a member of the German giants and playing 7 games for the team last season.
Peretz also has extensive national team experience. He has represented the Israeli national team in various competitions from the youth stage and has made 7 appearances for the adult national team so far.
Hamburg sports director Stefan Kuntz welcomed Perez's arrival and said: "We are very happy that Daniel has chosen to join us at this critical juncture. He has excellent goal-line skills and international competition experience, which will greatly enhance the overall competitiveness of our goalkeeping position."
Peretz has now completed his medical examination and signed the contract at Volksparkstadion. He then went to the locker room to meet his new teammates and started training with goalkeeper coach Sven Höh.
Regarding joining Hamburg Football Club, Peretz said frankly: "For me, there is no time to waste. I can't wait to start training and integrate into the team as soon as possible."
"It is a great honor for me to join such a great club. Our team's goal is clear, we want to successfully avoid relegation. I will do my best as a member of the team, contribute my own strength and bring joy to the fans."
