John McGinn named Aston Villa's Player of the Month for September

Aston Villa captain John McGinn was voted the best player of the month for September 2025 by fans for his outstanding performance in September.

The Scottish midfielder won more than half of the votes, with 52% of the votes, ahead of Emi Buendia (11%) and goalkeeper Marco Bizot (8%), and was named the best player of the month.

After a slump at the start of the season, McGinn helped Villa get back on track with a series of consistent performances. Throughout the month, he played in five games in all competitions, missing just 18 minutes and scoring two crucial goals.
