South Korean center back Kim Min-jae said on Tuesday that he hopes to continue playing for Bayern Munich next season, but he also admitted that whether he can stay in the team still depends on the club's arrangements.

The 28-year-old Kim Min-jae made his debut at the Gyeongju Water Conservancy Club in South Korea, and then played for Jeonbuk Hyundai and Beijing Guoan. After landing in Europe, he played for Fenerbahce and Naples for one season respectively, and won the 2022/23 Serie A championship with the team as a main player.

In July 2023, Kim Min-jae joined Bayern Munich from Naples for 50 million euros. So far, he has made 79 appearances for Bayern Munich, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.

However, Kim Min-jae has been suffering from Achilles tendon injuries since October last year and has made fatal mistakes in many key games. As his performance has not met expectations, he has become one of the players most likely to be sold by Bayern this summer. According to Christian Falk, editor-in-chief of Bild, Bayern executives are evaluating the possibility of selling Kim Min-jae and have set a price of 40 million to 50 million euros for him.

Despite this, Kim Min-jae has no intention of leaving the team this summer. In an interview with Bild, he made it clear: "I have no reason to leave Bayern. I hope to stay, but everything is still unknown."

Kim Min-jae went on to add that his biggest wish at the moment is not to transfer, but to get rid of the injury as soon as possible: "I just hope to stay healthy next season."

Bild also learned that no club has yet made a specific offer for Kim Min-jae. However, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Serie A and Saudi Arabian clubs have expressed interest in him.
