The Premier League officially announced the list of candidates for the 2025 Hall of Fame, and two Chelsea legends - Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas were successfully shortlisted.
If elected, they will join Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Petr Cech, John Terry and Ashley Cole as Chelsea legends to enter the Premier League's highest hall of honor.
In his seven seasons at Chelsea, between 2012 and 2019, Hazard was named Chelsea Player of the Year four times and was named Premier League Player of the Year in 2014-15. He won two league titles with the club and is the only player in Premier League history to have scored and provided more than 50 assists.
Fabregas joined Chelsea in 2014 and, alongside Hazard, helped them win the league title twice, in 2015 and 2017. Known for his precise passing and creativity, Fabregas became the first player to provide at least 15 assists in a single season for two different clubs, and his 111 Premier League assists rank second all-time.
This year's shortlist consists of 15 players, including two Chelsea legends, Sol Campbell, Gary Neville, Michael Owen, David Silva, Yeah Yeah Toney and many more. The roster boasts over 5,000 Premier League appearances, 1,000 goals and 44 trophies.
Fans have until September 15 to vote, and the results will be presented to the 24 current Hall of Fame members for their final selection. The two new inductees will be officially announced at a special ceremony on November 4.
The inclusion of Hazard and Fabregas is not only a recognition of their brilliant achievements, but also further expands Chelsea's legendary list in the Hall of Fame.
