Alfonso González Martínez joined Sevilla on a free transfer after playing for Celta Vigo and signed a three-year contract with the team.  

Sevilla FC has officially announced the signing of Alfonso González Martínez, who will be the team's first signing for the 2025-26 season. The 26-year-old player, born in Albacete, is 1.72 meters tall and has signed a three-year contract with Sevilla. The player from Nervion mainly plays as a left winger, but can also play as a right winger.  

Alfonso González Martínez's career began in the 2016-17 season when he played for Albacete Football Club in the Spanish Second Division. He was then loaned to Internacional de Madrid twice, and then to Getafe Football Club B, where he scored his first goal in the Spanish Third Division.  

In the 2020-21 season, Alfonso González Martínez was loaned out again to Celta Vigo, where he made his La Liga debut, playing in two La Liga EA Sports games and one Copa del Rey match. He has now become a regular player for Celta. In that season and the following season, he mainly played for the Segunda B team and the newly formed La Liga team, scoring a total of 12 goals and contributing 5 assists.  

In the 2022-23 season, Alfonso González Martínez played for Santander Racing and Real Murcia as a loan player. He then returned to Celta's reserve team and performed well in the 2023-24 Spanish La Liga, scoring 13 goals and contributing 7 assists.  

With his outstanding performance, he was successfully selected for the Celta first team in the 2024-25 season. In the just- concluded season, under the guidance of Claudio Giraldes, Alfonso González Martínez made a total of 29 appearances, contributed 8 goals and 5 assists, and accumulated more than 1,600 minutes of playing time in La Liga and the King's Cup, showing an excellent competitive state.
