Angel Ortiz has signed a new contract with Real Betis

Real Betis has announced that it has renewed the contract with defender Angel Ortiz until 2029. The player from Extremadura will officially integrate into the first team during the pre-season preparations.
Angel Ortiz, 20 years old, was born in Almendralejo. He joined the Real Betis youth training camp in the summer of 2017 and initially played for the U14 A team. Since then, he has continued to improve in the club's youth training system, winning the Youth Honor League Group 4 championship twice with the team and successfully reaching the Champions League final. With his outstanding performance, he was selected for the Spanish U18 and U19 national teams.
Angel Ortiz made his first-team debut in the La Liga match against Mallorca on January 25 this year. In the 2024-25 season, he played a total of five league games for the team and contributed one assist.
