Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal will make a last-minute decision on Mikel Merino and Ben White's availability for their clash against Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium.

Merino and White missed last week's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace through injury but both returned to training ahead of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg.

"Ben and Mikel participated in the training. As for whether they can start, we will see tomorrow." Arsenal coach Arteta said at the pre-match press conference.

Currently, midfielder Thomas Partey is unable to play due to suspension. Arteta once let Merino play as a center forward. If he can start in this game, it will greatly enhance the team's flexibility in the frontcourt.

At the same time, if White can play the full game, his presence in the full-back position will free up more space for Arteta to deploy. Young player Miles Lewis-Skelly may be arranged to return to a more familiar midfield position to fill the vacancy left by Partey.
