Atlanta officially announced Juric as head coach with a two-year contract

Atlanta announced on Friday that Ivan Juric will officially serve as the first team coach from July 1. The two sides signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2027.

Juric's predecessor is the current Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini. Under Gasperini's leadership, Atalanta has grown into a regular in the European war in Serie A for nine years and won the Europa League in 2024.

Ivan Juric, 49, started his coaching career in 2010 and is regarded as one of the best young coaches in Croatia. He has coached many teams including Mantova, Crotone, Genoa, Verona, Torino and Roma, and has coached 249 games in Serie A.

In December 2024, Juric officially took over as Southampton's head coach. However, Southampton only won two games under Juric's coaching, and eventually relegated to the Championship seven rounds ahead of schedule with the bottom result, becoming the earliest team to be relegated in the history of the Premier League. Juric was also sacked within 24 hours of Southampton's relegation, and has been unemployed for about two months.
