Brighton & Hove Albion officially announced that defender Olivier Boscali has signed a five-year contract with the club, but the transfer still needs final approval from the Premier League and the FA.  

The 27-year-old French player played for the Dutch Eredivisie champions PSV last season, playing 30 games for the team, contributing 1 goal and 6 assists.  

Head coach Fabian Hürzeler said: “We are very pleased to welcome Olivier Boscali to the Brighton family.  

“Olivier Boscali has gained valuable experience at PSV and we really appreciate his versatility on the pitch. He can play in multiple positions and this type of player is crucial to our squad building. We are very much looking forward to working with him.”  

The former French U21 national team player joined PSV in 2019. He started his career at Nice Club and played 204 games for PSV as a central defender and left back.  

Olivier Boscali wrote on social media: "I am very happy to announce that I have officially signed with Brighton. A new chapter has begun. I am ready to meet this new challenge with ambition, determination and enthusiasm. Let's get started!"  

Olivier Boscali has achieved outstanding success in the Netherlands, winning consecutive Eredivisie titles, winning the Johan Cruyff Shield twice, and helping the team win the KNVB Cup in 2023.
