Nottingham Forest officially announced that Sean Dyche will be the team's new head coach with a contract until the summer of 2027.

The former player, who started his career in the club's youth training system, returned to the City Ground after many years. Previously, Dyche coached Watford, Burnley and Everton. In January 2025, Dyche was fired by Everton due to a series of poor results.

Today, Dyche is the manager of Nottingham Forest. In an interview with the club's official website, he expressed his pride and joy at returning to where he started as a manager. He recalled, "I've often spoken of my affection for this club."

“I started my career under the great Brian Clough. Although I didn’t make the first team at the time, the experiences I had during that time made me remember the spirit of this club forever.”

Since Dyche's departure, both he and the club have undergone tremendous changes, and Forest is now a more mature team. Speaking of his coaching philosophy, Dyche stressed that the team must help the players regain energy and confidence.

Dyche said: "At all times, the foundation must be laid firmly. Being strong, healthy and well-organised is a prerequisite. But at the same time, I hope the players can show creativity and confidence on the court, take risks, attack and inspire the enthusiasm of the fans."
