Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, exclusively reported in a cross-platform interview with CBS Sports' resident renowned Italian sports journalist Francesco Porzio, on Thursday that Dutch international defender Micky Van de Ven is still far away from finalizing a contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur.
In the interview, Romano said that Van de Ven is currently focused on helping Spurs escape their current predicament, ensuring the club's survival this season, and striving to win the Champions League, and has temporarily put contract negotiations on hold. The 24-year-old Micky Van de Ven was born on April 19, 2001, in Wormer, Netherlands. He is 1.93 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a left-back.
Van de Ven joined Volendam's youth academy at a young age and then joined Wolfsburg for €3.5 million on the 2021 summer transfer window deadline day.
