Italian goalkeeper Donnarumma joined Premier League giants Manchester City last week. Coach Guardiola said in an interview that Donnarumma already has rich experience and looks forward to the goalkeeper's contribution to the team.

The 26-year-old Donnarumma previously played for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1, winning four Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups and three French Super Cups, as well as helping Paris Saint-Germain win the Champions League last season. In terms of the national team, Donnarumma helped Italy win the 2020 European Cup.

Speaking of the goalkeeper, Manchester City coach Guardiola said, "Donnarumma is only 26 years old, but he already has incredible experience. He is very tall. The goalkeeper's duty is to make saves, bring confidence and personality to the team, and he is a person with great presence in big games."

Guardiola also said, "James Trafford is also one of Manchester City's goalkeepers, but I can only send one goalkeeper on the field. In the game, I can use two full-backs and two central defenders, but the whole season will be very long. This season has just begun, there will be many games in the future, and every player will participate in it."

On the other hand, a Manchester derby will be staged in the fourth round of the 2025/26 Premier League, and Manchester City will face Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.
