On October 2 , the New York Knicks completed a reinforcement during the offseason by re-signing forward Donovan Williams, who had performed well in the Development League. According to HoopsHype, this contract is expected to be for training camp, and he will become the Knicks' 22nd player.

Williams, 24 , played for the Westchester Knicks last season, averaging 17.8 points in 35 games while shooting 46 % from the field and over 38% from three-point range . He performed well in the G League Winter Showcase and scored 34 points against Birmingham in February .

Williams' career began after he went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft. He signed with the Long Island Nets, briefly joined the Warriors system, and played two NBA games for the Hawks. This summer, he also played in the Denver Nuggets Summer League, averaging 7.5 points per game.

This signing adds forward depth to the Knicks and also provides Williams with an opportunity to impact the NBA again.
