Ahead of the crucial FA Cup match against West Ham United, Brentford manager Keith Andrews briefed the public on the team's serious injury situation.

Brentford's key defensive player, Rico Henry, will face a lengthy absence due to a serious hamstring injury. Henry was forced off in pain before halftime in the previous Premier League match, which ended in a 0-0 draw against Bournemouth.

Andrews sadly confirmed the bad news: "Henry has injured his hamstring and will not only be unable to play against West Ham, but will most likely be out for a considerable period of time. This is a heavy blow to him and the team."

“I really, really feel sorry for him. I was here last year and I saw the struggle a player goes through when injured, and the incredible mental fortitude that comes with getting through that period. Watching your teammates play every day while you can’t do what you love is heartbreaking.”

“He has always fought alongside us. This is truly disappointing for him, and I feel heartbroken for him. Of course, we will miss him. Now, all we can do is support him and do everything we can to help him recover and return as soon as possible.”

Besides Henry, Brentford's injury list remains worryingly long. Regarding Rice Nelson, who has missed several games, Andrews stated that he is expected to return for this match, but nothing is finalized yet.

In addition, Allen Hickey (hamstring), Vitaly Janert (metatarsal) and Josh da Silva (knee ligament) are still sidelined; while Fabio Carvalho and Anthony Miránbo have been ruled out for the season due to severe anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries.
