Matt Doherty admitted it was heartbreaking to see his beloved club in such a predicament, and he was determined to ensure Wolves gave their all and showed the fighting spirit they deserved. Following the loss to Brentford, the Irish defender criticized the entire team. He hopes they can rediscover their form and will give their all in the upcoming matches to try and turn things around.  

The player said, "My feelings haven't changed. Midway through the game, our focus was still very high. But when the game entered a crucial stage and we needed to fight for victory, I'm not sure what happened. Whether there was a lapse in concentration or a lack of commitment are issues that the team needs to reflect on together. I'm no exception, and I will accept all criticism."  

"Our players need to reflect on and find the reasons why we failed to maintain a stable performance at crucial moments. This league is extremely competitive, and no one will give in easily, so we must constantly create opportunities while doing our best to defend. There is no time for self-pity; we need to train with full energy and spirit every day, maintain our fighting spirit, and strive for victory."  

"Obviously, our start to the season fell short of expectations, which was disappointing. The coaching staff was fine; their guidance was excellent, and their game plan was sound. The problem mainly stemmed from individual player errors. This wasn't just about the starting eleven in one game, but about every player who has played this season. Everyone, including myself, has made mistakes. Our performance hasn't reached last year's level, which has led to this unfavorable situation. In a league like the Premier League, if you can't win, it's very difficult to get out of trouble because opportunities don't just appear on their own."
