NBA legend Paul Pierce spoke about Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James on a podcast, praising the forward for maintaining his unwavering fighting spirit.
In an earlier NBA regular season game, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 124-104, thanks to points scored by LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, and Austin Reeves.
It's worth mentioning that LeBron James, at 41 years old, broke the NBA record for the oldest player to record a triple-double with 28 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds against the Dallas Mavericks. Furthermore, LeBron James has played 36 games this season, averaging 22.0 points per game, with a 30.5% three-point shooting percentage and a 50.2% field goal percentage.
NBA legend Paul Pierce said, "I don't think anyone has had a career as great as LeBron James. All over the years, his stats, accolades, from All-NBA selections to All-Star appearances to scoring achievements, it's all the same."
“In today’s NBA, no player has that kind of stamina anymore. It’s all about load management now, and LeBron James is 41 years old. He doesn’t even really follow load management. He still plays. He comes from a different era and background. Nobody can catch up with him.”
As for which player has a chance to catch LeBron James' scoring record, Paul Pierce said, "I'm thinking, who has that chance now? If it's Kevin Durant, he'd have to play for another 10 years. He needs another 10,000 points. Assuming he scores 2,000 points a year for the next 5 years, that means averaging 25 points per game and playing every single one of the 82 games."
