Nelson Semedo has encouraged Wolves to keep fighting next season after leading the team to a new record in the second half of the campaign.  

The defender has played a key role under the guidance of coach Vitor Pereira and he is very proud of the fact that he has been captain since mid-December and has helped the team reconnect with the fans.  

Nelson Semedo said: “This has been a challenging season. Although we wanted to end this campaign with a win, it was not possible. However, everyone should be proud of their efforts this season.”  

“It’s true that we didn’t start well, but with Vitor Pereira and his team and the fans’ continued support, we found a way to keep going and get the wins we needed to achieve our goal. We finally achieved our goal of staying in the Premier League, but I hope we can start better and perform better next season.”  

"This team is strong and we are performing well, but I think we need to make some adjustments. Maybe just by introducing a few new players and increasing the depth of the squad, we can achieve a bigger breakthrough, which is also my expectation for the club. I always want to get better, and I think the club and the team deserve more, so we have to fight for this goal next season."
