Fenerbahçe announced on its official website on Friday that Wolverhampton Wanderers captain, Portugal international right-wing back Nelson Semedo has joined the club on a free transfer after his contract had expired.
According to the Turkish Süper Lig giants' official statement, Semedo has signed on a short-term two-year deal which only runs until the summer of 2027.
After completing his joining procedures, Semedo who was interviewed by the Fenerbahçe official website for the first time, said, "I'm very happy and grateful to be here. Fenerbahçe is the club I always wanted to join because we share the same goals. I'm very happy to be part of this big family."

About Nelson Semedo
The 31-year-old Semedo was born on November 16, 1993, in Lisbon, Portugal. Standing 1.77 meters tall, he primarily plays as a right-wing back, but can also play as a right midfielder. He holds dual Portuguese and Cape Verdean citizenship.
Semedo joined the Sintrense youth academy at a young age and completed his Sintrense first-team debut in August 2011.
The following January, Semedo joined Benfica on a free transfer but was immediately loaned out to non-league club Fátima.
After returning from his loan spell in the summer of 2013, Semedo began playing for Benfica's B team and completed his senior debut in the Portuguese Super Cup match against city rivals Sporting CP in August 2015.
During his two-year spell with the As Ãguias Semedo won the Portuguese Primeira Liga twice, the Taça de Portugal once, the Taça da Liga once, and the Portuguese Super Cup once with the club.
In July 2017, Semedo joined Barcelona for €35.5 million.
During his three-year spell with the Blaugrana, Semedo won the La Liga twice, the Copa del Rey once, and the Supercopa de España once with the club.
In September 2020, Semedo joined Wolverhampton Wanderers for £27.5 million.
During his five years with Wolves, Semedo made 182 appearances for the Premier League club in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing 11 assists.
