November 2nd - The NBA regular season continued, with the Atlanta Hawks defeating the Brooklyn Nets 117-112 on the road, ending their two-game losing streak. Hawks star Trae Young left the game after playing only 7 minutes in the first quarter due to a right knee sprain and will undergo further examination.
The Hawks started slowly, falling behind 0-12 at one point , before Jaylen Brown led an 18-5 run to take the lead. Midway through the first quarter, Trae Young twisted his right knee and left the game, but the Hawks maintained their offensive firepower, leading 34-27 at the end of the first quarter . In the second quarter, Kennard caught fire from beyond the arc, and Porzingis scored inside, giving the Hawks a 64-51 lead at halftime .
In the second half, Porter Jr. continued his efficient output, scoring 11 points in the quarter and leading his team to narrow the gap. At the end of the third quarter, the Hawks still held the lead at 94-83 . In the final quarter, the Nets once narrowed the gap to just 3 points, but Kennard calmly made two free throws, and the Hawks held on to the victory.
