The Boston Celtics officially announced on Saturday that Ron Harper's two-way contract has been converted to a standard NBA contract. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the two sides signed a standard two-year NBA contract.
Spotrac salary expert Keith Smith further pointed out that Harper's total salary this season is approximately $123,000.
The 25-year-old Harper Jr. is the son of Bulls and Lakers legend Ron Harper Sr. He entered the NBA in July 2022 as an undrafted player. He initially played for the Toronto Raptors and their G League affiliate, the Raptors 905, before moving to several teams including the Maine Celtics, Detroit Pistons, and Motorcycle City Rangers.
In October 2025, Harper Jr. joined the Celtics on a two-way contract. As a 6'6" and 106" weight swingman, he gradually developed into a regular rotation player on the bench after joining the Celtics.
According to ESPN statistics, Harper Jr. played 26 games for the Celtics this season, averaging 2.2 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in 10.3 minutes per game, with a field goal percentage of 39.8% and a three-point percentage of 34.4%. He also played for the Maine Celtics in the G League, averaging 24.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 31.4 minutes per game, with a field goal percentage of 45.5% and a three-point percentage of 37.7%.
Prior to this, Harper Jr. had not had many opportunities to play in the NBA. He only played 11 games for the Raptors and Pistons combined, averaging 2.2 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 6.3 minutes per game.
