Totti Gomes admitted that Brighton deserved their victory at Molineux, which ended Wolves' good record at home.  

A Wolves error led to Brighton's first goal from the penalty spot, and although Wolves played well for a while, they were unable to fully recover, and after Brighton scored again, they suffered their first defeat at Molineux since February.  

While the defender was disappointed that Wolves were unable to continue their good spring form, he spoke highly of Mateus Mane’s performance on a late debut at Molineux.  

Totti Gomes said: "We tried our best to keep the momentum going. Even though we lost the last game, we knew we were in a good moment. We prepared well for this game this week, but we made some crucial mistakes at the beginning and the opponent finally seized the opportunity and scored a goal. They deserved this victory."  

"Regarding the penalty, it happens occasionally. If we had it back, we would have controlled the ball better and not passed it in that dangerous area. There was a lot of pressure from the opposition to try to get the ball back and that mistake led to the penalty."  

"For me, it is undoubtedly a good thing to introduce fresh blood. They can bring different performances from the previous players. We tried our best to use these new players to improve the overall lineup. As a result, they performed very well and did a good job in defense."
