Vitor Pereira has urged his Wolves players to give their all and strive for a result against Burnley this weekend rather than wait for the season to change, as his side continue their pursuit of their first Premier League win of the season ahead of Sunday's clash.  

The head coach stated that a change in mentality was necessary to secure all three points at Molineux. While Pereira repeatedly stressed that October's results wouldn't determine the entire season, he understood that a crucial victory was crucial to regaining the momentum of last season and avoiding relegation.  

Vitor Pereira said: "This week my discussions with the players focused on the team's performance in the first half, as we lacked sufficient initiative during that period. From the beginning of the game, we did not show any intention to win. Only after the opponent scored the first goal did we really get into shape. We then analyzed the performance in the second half, and the team played very well in that stage."  

"In my opinion, this result doesn't reflect our performance. We created three or four chances but didn't take them. We can't make the same mistakes again and we can't be two-faced in the game. We can't be one team in the first half and another in the second. That doesn't work in the Premier League because in this league you have to fight from the first minute to the last."  

"If we are mentally focused enough, we can show the winning spirit even in the warm-up phase. Warm-up is not only about physical preparation, but also about mental adjustment. We must be mentally ready to enter the game, and this is an area that needs improvement."  

Speaking about the team's confidence in turning the season around, Vitor Pereira said: "We are currently working hard to cope with this difficult situation. The team has lost several key players and has introduced about ten new players who did not play last season, including some players returning from loan. If everyone can play together at the beginning of the season, their running-in will be smoother and the overall sense of identity of the team will be established more quickly."  

"That's not the case, because some of our players joined at the very end of the transfer window. But I understand the complexity of the transfer market and it's not easy. The team played very well this week. We were united and had a clear tactical thinking. Whether it was when to press, how to press, the rhythm at the start, or the energy of the attack, we were training with the right mentality."

This is the most challenging league for me, both in terms of individual ability and tactical level.
