Marco Silva stated that Fulham had opportunities to gain a greater advantage in their match against Tottenham Hotspur. Early in the game, Harry Wilson opened the scoring with a volley, followed by a brilliant goal from Alex Iwobi, giving Fulham a two-goal lead at halftime.  

The team then missed several good chances to extend their lead. The game only became more intense than expected in the final stages after substitute Richarlison scored.  

Marco Silva said after the game: "I think we deserved the three points. In terms of the score, considering the number of chances we created, the result should have been different. At the start of the first half, the team played very calmly and efficiently, and we took advantage of our opportunities and punished our opponents."  

“We created many clear scoring opportunities in the second half, and had a chance to score a third goal to seal the victory, but we failed to capitalize on them. That’s the reality. In this level of competition, the opponents are very strong individually, and they can punish you at any time, just like Richarlison did in that moment.”  

"Although the result was somewhat disappointing, our performance was outstanding. I think the way the team controlled the game, the ability to create chances, and the dynamism shown in the attacking organization were all top-level. I think we controlled the physical challenges of the opponent very well, including the attacks of the two forwards, the frequent lateral passes, and the runs behind the defense."  

"Despite the various tactics our opponents tried, we responded exceptionally well. The only regret is that the score doesn't fully reflect our dominance on the court. However, we are satisfied with the team's performance and have secured three points, and we will continue to work hard in the future."
