Angers announced on its official website on Saturday that the club has signed French defensive midfielder Louis Mouton from Saint-Etienne.

According to the Ligue 1 club's official statement, Mouton has signed on a three-year contract with the club until the summer of 2028.

About Louis Mouton

Louis Mouton, 23, was born on June 3, 2002 in Saint-Etienne, France. He is 1.89 meters tall and plays as a defensive midfielder.

Mouton joined the youth academy of his hometown club Saint-Etienne at the age of 11. He began to play for its reserve team in 2020 and completed his Saint-Etienne first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in July 2022.

The following summer, Mouton was loaned-out to Pau, where he was highly praised for his outstanding performances.

After returning to the club following the end of his loan spell in the summer of 2024, Mouton officially became a key player in the Saint-Etienne first-team.

During his three-year spell with Les Verts, Mouton played 41 times for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist.
