Arsenal's David Raya caught a free kick from Declan Rice against Real Madrid and the player said he always encouraged Rice to shoot more.  

Declan Rice scored two brilliant set-pieces in the second half after Mikel Merino put Real Madrid 3-0 ahead. It was the first time Rice has scored from a set-piece and David Raya revealed he has been motivating the midfielder to shoot more.  

David Raya said: "I think everyone has not seen Declan Rice's shooting ability. Since I came here, I have been telling him to shoot more because he has a good shooting ability. Declan Rice needs to shoot more. It is a deadly weapon he has."  

"It was a great game and the team played great. From the start, we controlled the tempo of the game. We tried to keep the opponent quiet, but it was almost impossible against a Real Madrid team because they could hurt us anytime and anywhere."  

"We were there to defend and keep a clean sheet, so that was really important for us. We managed to score three important goals and we showed a lot of determination as a team."  

David Raya also said: "I believe in our own strength, and we have proved this. We have taken the dominant position since the beginning of the game. However, the game is not over yet and we have only completed part of the task. We have to play the second round next week, and we know it will be a difficult game."  

"Besides, I think we have a lot to improve on as well. They created chances in this game, so if they had scored one goal, the game would have been tied."
