French Ligue 1 club Angers announced on Saturday that they have completed a contract extension with Ousmane Camara. The new contract will extend the player's contract by three years, from its original expiration date of 2026, to June 30, 2029.

Angers immediately congratulated Camara after the contract extension was completed. They issued a statement saying: "Angers Football Club is very happy about the contract extension of Ousmane Camara and wish him a great season wearing the red and white jersey!

Ousmane Camara, 22, was born in Paris, France, and is of Malian and Guinean descent. He primarily plays as a centre-back, but can also operate as a defensive midfielder when necessary.

As a product of Paris FC's youth training, Camara made his professional debut for the first team in Ligue 2 on August 22, 2020. He subsequently made 38 appearances for Paris FC but failed to score or assist.

In August 2022, Camara moved from Paris FC to Angers for €2.2 million. To date, he has made 27 appearances for Angers, including 18 in Ligue 1.

As for the national team, Kamara chose to play for Mali. He made his debut for the national team in the African qualifiers for the 2025 World Cup on August 9, but Mali lost 0-1 to Ghana.
