Arsenal accidentally leaked the signing of Valencia's defender wonderkid Christhian Mosquera..

GOAL reported exclusively on Wednesday that Arsenal accidentally leaked that the club had signed Spain U23s international defender wonderkid Christhian Mosquera from Valencia.

According to the report, when Arsenal announced Chelsea winger Noni Madueke as their new player on the official website, they accidentally added a photo of Mosquera's first interview with the club's official website to the first batch of news photos after the player had joined the Gunners.

Although Arsenal quickly removed it after discovering the error, the photo of Mosquera becoming the Gunners' latest signing has already been widely circulated by fans.

As public opinion has become increasingly intense, The Athletic's resident renowned English transfer journalist David Ornstein, also came forward to confirm that Mosquera had been signed by Arsenal.

Ornstein revealed that Mosquera was actually already signed by Arsenal last Friday (July 24th) UK local time.

Arsenal paid Valencia a total of £13 million in initial fees to sign Mosquera, excluding £4 million pounds of potential additional fees.

Mosquera has actually quietly flown to Singapore with Arsenal to participate in the pre-season friendly match against AC Milan, but because his international transfer certificate has not yet been issued, the Premier League giants have not yet been able to officially announce him as the Gunners' new player.

About Christhian Mosquera

Mosquera, who is only 21 years old, was born on June 27, 2004 in Alicante, Spain. He is 1.88 meters tall and primarily plays as a center back. He can also play as a right back. He has dual Spanish and Colombian nationality.

Mosquera joined the Hercules youth academy at the age of 9, and moved to the Valencia youth academy in 2016. He started playing for its B team in 2021, and completed his Valencia first-team debut in a Copa del Rey match in January of the following year, becoming the youngest center back in Los che's club history.

During his four-year spell with Los che, Mosquera played 90 times for the La Liga club in across all competitions and scored 1 goal.
