Just 18 minutes after losing 0-3 to Chelsea, Premier League club Nottingham Forest announced the dismissal of head coach Anchi Postecoglu, ending his coaching career of just 40 days.

Nottingham Forest said in an official statement: "Following a series of disappointing results and performances, Postecoglu has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect. The club will not be making any further comment at this time."

This defeat was the final straw that broke the camel's back. The team had been in a slump recently, with no wins in the past few rounds and now on a four-game losing streak. The team's defense was porous and its attack was weak, ultimately prompting management to take swift action.

After the game, captain Ryan Yates admitted in an interview that the team must take responsibility for its current situation: "We are all very disappointed with the result. Everyone should look in the mirror and reflect."

"The poor results cannot be blamed solely on the coach; the players also have to bear a huge responsibility. We need to get back to our form on the training ground and improve the details, even if it's just 1% improvement. We have to do it."

Postecoglu's reign at Nottingham Forest ended abruptly after just 40 days, making him one of the shortest-lived managers of the new Premier League season. With Forest currently languishing in the bottom of the table, rebuilding morale within a short period of time is a pressing issue for the club.
