Hoffenheim officially announced on Thursday that former Bochum defender Bernardo completed the transfer as a free agent. As usual, the club did not disclose the contract period and specific details.

According to official news, Bernardo will wear the No. 13 jersey.

Bernardo, 30, was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and made his professional debut for Red Bull Brazil in 2014. He then moved to Bondy Bild, Red Bull Salzburg, Levling and Brighton, and won five Austrian Super League titles and four Austrian Cup titles with Red Bull Salzburg.

In August 2023, Bernardo transferred to Bochum for 600,000 euros. To date, he has made 56 appearances in Bochum and contributed 1 goal.
