English League Cup – Arsenal defeated Chelsea 4-2 on aggregate to advance to the final


In the second leg of the 2025/26 English League Cup semi-final, Arsenal, playing at home at the Emirates Stadium, defeated Chelsea 1-0 after a goal from Havertz.


Six minutes into the match, Arsenal defender Gabriel made a mistake while controlling the ball, allowing Liam Delap to gain possession and unleash a shot, but the ball went wide. In the 16th minute, Arsenal won a corner kick. Maduk delivered the ball into the penalty area, and Incapie's header went wide.

In stoppage time of the second half, Rice passed the ball across the box, and Havertz dribbled into the penalty area, past Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, and shot the ball into the empty net, giving Arsenal a 1-0 lead.


Arsenal ultimately defeated Chelsea 1-0 at home and advanced to the final with a 4-2 aggregate score.
