Guardiola admitted that Manchester City needs to prove their strength again.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola emphasized in the pre-match press conference before the game against Leeds United that the team needs to prove its worth with consistent performances.

Manchester City's four consecutive Premier League titles from 2020 to 2024 seem even more admirable now. Guardiola believes Liverpool's recent struggles illustrate the difficulty of defending the title and further highlight the extraordinary significance of Manchester City's ability to remain competitive over four years.

When asked if he could replicate his past achievements, Guardiola said, "It's easy to decline after winning a title, but we didn't. We've always stayed in that position. When I decided to bring in 10 players, I knew there would be bad consequences, but it was a decision I had to take."

In response to recent consecutive defeats against Newcastle and Bayer Leverkusen, Guardiola admitted that the lineup for the Champions League match may have been one of the reasons for the loss, but he still has absolute confidence in the players.

Regarding the upcoming packed schedule, Guardiola pointed out that the focus now is on maintaining form and concentration amidst consecutive matches: "We have a game tomorrow, another one in three days, and yet another four days later. We must control ourselves and play better."

Guardiola also expressed his special thanks to the fans for their continued support during this difficult time: "Our fans have always been there for us, and they will always be there as long as we do what we are supposed to do."

Faced with ongoing competition, injuries, and schedule pressure, Guardiola hopes his team will continue to prove their strength through performance, believing that Manchester City remains at that level and deserves that position.
