Jordan Pickford talks about the positive changes the manager has brought to Everton and expresses his confidence in the future of the team

Jordan Pickford said Everton's future is full of hope. He believes David Moyes' coaching has restored the club to its former glory and recalled his cooperation with the head coach since 2016. Jordan Pickford is the first choice goalkeeper of the team and the England national team. Among England goalkeepers, only Peter Shilton has more appearances than Jordan Pickford with 125 appearances to Jordan Pickford's 75.

Jordan Pickford will have the chance to add to his tally in international matches against Andorra and Senegal next week, looking to surpass David Seaman and Joe Hart as England's all-time leading scorer.

Jordan Pickford said : "It is a proud thing to get 75 England caps. Next, my goal is to keep improving myself, get better results, enjoy the game and win more trophies with the England team."

"It's a reflection of my hard work on the training ground, my hard work and my consistent performances every week, because you can only be selected for the England national team based on your quality. All the efforts I put in are for Everton football club, and the rest is up to fate."

Jordan Pickford has been playing for Everton since 2017 and has been named the club's best player in four different seasons.

Everton's form has been on the rise since David Moyes returned as coach. Jordan Pickford is confident about the club's future. He said: "I think by the end of 2024, there will be many positive changes in the club. The arrival of the new owner has brought stability to the club. At the same time, the arrival of the new stadium and the new head coach has also injected vitality into us. Since the head coach took office, we have performed very well."

"Our goal is to keep going well, keep improving, keep progressing and get off to a good start for next season because we haven't been able to do that in the last few years. I'm sure the manager will ask us to get off to a good start and be successful in the table and in terms of overall performance."

Jordan Pickford has a long-standing relationship with David Moyes, with the manager first giving the goalkeeper regular playing time during the 2016-17 season at Sunderland.

“Sam Allardyce gave me my debut and although I spent the rest of the season on the bench, I still have great memories of it,” the player recalled. “Then David Moyes came in and Vito Mannone had an elbow injury at the start of the season, which gave me an opportunity to seize the moment and enjoy the game.”

“My overall performance was pretty good. There were some mistakes along the way but I was still learning. I completed all the games that season and gained a lot from it. It was a full and good year for my childhood club.”

Jordan Pickford is already familiar with David Moyes' coaching style and says the head coach has injected a different atmosphere into Everton and re-established that all-important connection with the fans.

He said: "I still remember the first time I came here. The manager was just a fan and the team he supported was beating Sunderland. Now I am back here, fighting side by side with the manager, and I have the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of the old Everton again. After all, we have experienced many ups and downs in recent years.

"But we need to get that resilience and fighting spirit back. I always think that's the character of our team. At the same time, I think there is a good connection between the coach and the fans. The connection between me and the fans during my time at Everton has always been very close. We have a harmonious relationship in the past eight years."
