Kompany envisions Bayern performing even better in 2026.

A key match in the 13th round of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season will take place, with defending champions Bayern Munich traveling to face Stuttgart. Kompany stated that he is delighted to see the team remain competitive in all competitions this year and looks forward to an even better performance next year.

Bayern Munich defeated St. Pauli 3-1 in the Bundesliga 12 after goals from Guerreiro, Diaz, and Jackson. With four wins and one draw in their last five matches, Bayern Munich currently sits atop the table with 34 points, eight points ahead of second-placed RB Leipzig, remaining firmly on track for the title.

In addition, in the earlier German Cup, Bayern Munich defeated Union Berlin 3-2 with a goal from Kane and an own goal from an opposing player, successfully advancing to the quarterfinals.

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany said, "I would be very happy if we could get four consecutive wins in all competitions, and that's what we're focused on right now. Our original goal was to ensure we were still competitive in three competitions going into the new year, and we did that. Now we want to win the remaining games. We've had some great moments in 2025, and hopefully we can continue that and do even better in 2026."

"Pavlovic had to leave the field against Union Berlin, but the initial news is positive. He should be able to resume training in the next few days. His injury is not serious, but we still need to see if he can be fit for the next match."

Furthermore, Bayern Munich has won 4 and lost 1 of their last 5 matches against Stuttgart, while Stuttgart is currently ranked 6th in the standings with 22 points and is still aiming for European qualification.

Kompany said, "I knew Winduff from when I played in Belgium. He's the kind of striker who can score at any time, very intelligent, and also a counter-attacking threat. Stuttgart is not an easy team to play against, and we must unite to cope. Playing away against Stuttgart is always difficult, but we are prepared to put in a huge effort."

“Although we’ve won all our games there in the past, every game lately has been tough. If we play our best, we can win, but we know exactly what challenges we’ll face.”

Kompany also emphasized, "I always hope the team doesn't think they're superior and underestimate some games; past victories are invaluable. We were creative in the first half against Union Berlin, but we needed a different performance in the second half. Not every game needs to be exciting, but the players did that in that game."
