Marshall Munisi believes the team must maintain confidence and show more fighting spirit in the game

Marshall M'Nesy says he is confident Wolves will build on the confidence they have built up in each game so far this season to secure victory against Everton on Saturday and push for a Premier League breakthrough.

Despite losing both of their opening league matches, Wolves showed more fighting spirit in the second half of their away game against Bournemouth last weekend when they were down to 10 men. They then defeated West Ham United in the Carabao Cup midweek. The midfielder believes the momentum Wolves have built up against Everton will help them secure their first Premier League win of the season.

"I can't put my finger on what went wrong against Bournemouth," said Marshall M'nessy. "I think we played our game plan that day and tried to attack in the first half and created a few chances, but I just couldn't capitalise in the first few minutes."

"Unfortunately, we didn't make the most of our chances and they scored. But we knew they were a difficult team to play against, especially at home."

“Overall, we did try hard. Even with one man down, we still fought hard and got some good results. But unfortunately, that was the moment when the other team won. I think they played better that day and won the game.”

“Everton’s morale is high after their two wins in a row, but I think every team gets a boost in confidence after a win. We have to try and put more pressure on them because if we start well, like in our last Carabao Cup game at home against West Ham, we did manage to put pressure on them.”

“We have to maintain our confidence in the first few minutes of the game so that we can try to control the game. At the same time, we also need to remember that the season has just started and there are still many areas that need to be adjusted and improved. We will continue to work hard to improve every day.”

Talking about his goals for this season, he said: "For me, it is to perform better than last season. I hope to help the team on both the defensive and offensive ends and try my best to contribute in terms of goals and assists."

“Obviously, we lost Mateus Cunha, who could have made a big contribution. So I hope to improve my finishing in front of goal and help the team achieve better results than last season. We have to work hard to maintain our consistency, approach every game positively and try to win more games than last season.”
