On September 22, the Dallas Mavericks continued to expand their training camp roster to reserve more options for the upcoming new season. It is reported that the Mavericks have signed former Lakers player DeMoy Hodge and Thunder player Jeremiah Robinson - Earl .
Hodgson played college basketball at Cleveland State and Missouri. After going undrafted in 2023 , he signed a two-way contract with the Lakers and briefly played in the G League before being traded midseason to Portland. Last season, he played for the Aris in the Greek League and is now back in the NBA .
Meanwhile, reporter Marc Stein revealed that the Mavericks have also added forward Jeremiah Robinson - Earl . Earl was drafted by the Knicks in the second round of the 2021 draft but was subsequently traded to the Thunder, spending the past two seasons with the Pelicans. Last season , he played in 66 games, averaging 6.3 points and 4.8 rebounds, demonstrating the consistent value of a blue-collar center.
Hodge 's defense and outside potential, Robinson Earl 's hustle and mobility, all fit the needs of the Mavericks' lineup. As the new season approaches, whether these young players can stand out will become a major attraction of the Mavericks' training camp.
