Michael Keane was pleased with Everton's performance against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon. Everton dominated the game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with 20 shots, 15 of which came from inside the box, while keeping a clean sheet to extend their unbeaten run to four games.  

Everton defender Michael Keane said after the game: "I think we performed very well. We controlled the tempo of the game and put great pressure on Aston Villa. Looking at it from another perspective, I think this game is actually our victory."  

“I think we created quite a few chances, and many of them were very threatening, but unfortunately we didn’t capitalize on them today. However, I am satisfied with the team’s performance. Overall, the game was very exciting.”  

Of the 20 chances Everton created, three fell directly to Michael Keane, who said he felt confident as long as he could get into the right position, but he also admitted to being disappointed at not being able to score the crucial goal.  

Michael Keane said: "To be honest, the first header was not an easy opportunity. The second header was saved brilliantly by the opponent's goalkeeper. For the third header, I felt that I had tried my best. At that time, I was in the right position and made some good passes. If it were any other day, I believe I could score one or two goals. But I think that as long as you continue to appear in these key positions, there will be more chances to score. I am very sorry that we failed to win."  

Everton created numerous chances and displayed solid defense, allowing Aston Villa just one shot. Michael Keane noted that the clean sheet was a highlight of the match. He also noted that Everton's attack has become more threatening since the loan arrival of Jack Grealish.  

He added: "Aston Villa have some very good players and our team defended very well in the frontcourt, which made it quite difficult for us to attack. We controlled the tempo of the game and put a lot of pressure on the opponent. I believe they will find this game very difficult when they go back. So, yes, I am satisfied with the team's performance."  

“I think we have to get the ball to Eliaman N’Diaye and Jack Grealish as much as possible. They are key figures in the team and have incredible quality. They are the ones who carry us forward, create chances and score goals. We are very lucky to have them and we need them to continue to perform at a high level.”
