The midfielder from Navarra will add more strength to Alaves' midfield over the next five seasons.  

Alaves officially announced that Pablo Ibanez will be part of the team's 2025-26 season squad. The two sides have reached an agreement and the contract will last until 2030. The experienced midfielder previously played for Osasuna for five years and officially transferred after the contract ended in June this year.  

Pablo Ibáñez was born on September 20, 1998, from Pamplona. He came from the youth training system of Navarra Football Club and transferred to Osasuna in the 2020-21 season. After that, he played for Osasuna B team for two seasons and successfully entered the La Liga.  

In the 2022-23 season, Pablo Ibanez successfully joined the Osasuna first team and made 100 appearances for the team, including 86 in La Liga. He contributed 4 assists and 3 goals, including a key goal, to help the team advance to the 2022-23 Copa del Rey final.  

Pablo Ibanez is a midfielder with excellent insight and coverage ability, who can effectively connect the midfield and the frontcourt. He is good at participating in the advancement and has the ability to insert into the penalty area to create threats. He is an organizational player with great offensive awareness.  

The midfielder has signed a long-term contract with Alaves, reflecting the club's commitment to talent development and squad building, and will enter a new phase in his career under head coach Chajo Kuder.  

Pablo Ibanez said after the signing took effect: "I feel calm and very happy. Next, I will go all out and work hard to welcome these exciting five years."
