After losing to the Denver Nuggets in an overtime battle in Game 3, the Oklahoma City Thunder rebounded strongly in Game 4 on Sunday, winning a "declaration-style" victory on the road, tying the series score to 2-2 and continuing to move towards the Western Conference Finals.

The Thunder still relied on core player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to lead the team. He scored 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals, and shot 8 of 19 from the field. His comprehensive performance suppressed three-time MVP Nikola Jokic.

Although the Nuggets lost in the end, Jokic's statistics were still impressive: 27 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, and only 2 turnovers. He only made 7 of 21 shots, 2 of 7 three-pointers, but 11 of 14 free throws. According to Stathead data, Jokic became the first player in NBA playoff history to achieve this combination of statistics in a single game.

However, Nuggets fans also have reason to worry. Jokic has been in a slump in the last three games, averaging only 21.3 points, 12.3 rebounds and 5 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 33.3% and a three-point shooting percentage of only 18.2%. Compared with his regular season MVP-level performance, such data is obviously "far below expectations."

The Thunder's defense deserves credit. They caused a lot of trouble for Jokic in the overall rotation defense and inside confrontation, but if the Nuggets want to defeat the young and strong Thunder and impact the finals, Jokic must play a more dominant game.

The series will return to Oklahoma City, and Game 5 will begin on Tuesday. This battle will be a "watershed" battle for both sides.
