Portugal's U21 national team trained at Soccer City this Sunday, continuing preparations for their upcoming match against Scotland's U21. The game, part of the European Championship qualifiers, will be held on Tuesday at the Antonio Coimbra da Motta Stadium in Estoril, kicking off at 7:30 PM.

Before training began, Youssef Cermiti spoke about the upcoming match against Scotland U21, stating that the team's goal is to win again, while also noting that their opponents will play with great fighting spirit. He said, "We hope to play a high-level game. Throughout the qualifiers, we have shown our strength and the ability to earn three points. Scotland will give their all, but we are fully prepared."

In a team comprised of several new players, the striker emphasized that the additions have improved the team's overall strength. Yusuf Cermiti stated, "Everyone in the team is very welcoming of the new players, and the experienced players are helping them integrate. Their arrival was meant to strengthen the team, and they are now part of it. I think they are performing well and contributing to the team."

The team has scored 25 goals so far, 21 of which came in the second half. Yusuf Chermiti pointed out that patience is crucial during matches, and players shouldn't lose confidence due to missed opportunities. He stated, "The most important thing in a match is patience. Many times we create chances in the first half, which has become the norm, but we still need to remain consistent and patient. A match lasts 90 minutes; scoring in either the first or second half isn't the most important thing, winning the game is the ultimate goal."

When asked if there was a risk of overconfidence within the team, the Portuguese international disagreed, emphasizing that all players always adhered to the principle of humility. He stated, "The message conveyed to the team is that we must remain humble. No matter how far ahead we are, we cannot assume the game or our opponents will be easy. The coaching staff constantly reminds us to give our all and demonstrate the level of the Portuguese team, and I believe we have indeed done so."

Finally, Youssef Cermiti urged fans to attend the match at the Antonio Coimbra da Mota Stadium, stating that the team expects a great atmosphere in the stands. He added, "We hope to feel the enthusiasm in Estoril, just like we always do at home. Playing in Portugal is always a very enjoyable experience."
