Houston Dynamo announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has signed Czech international attacking midfielder Ondrej Lingr from Slavia Prague.

According to the Major League Soccer (MLS) club's official statement, Lingr has signed on a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club which runs until the winter of 2028, with an option to extend for a further year, and he will also occupy a Designated Player (DP) registration slot of the club.

About Ondrej Lingr

Ondrej Lingr, 26, was born on October 7, 1998 in Havírov, Czech Republic. He is 1.78 meters tall and primarily plays as an attacking midfielder. He can also play as a left winger or right winger.

Lingr joined the Karvina youth academy since he was a child, and completed his Karvina first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in May 2017.

In August 2020, Lingr joined Slavia Prague for €450,000.

In August 2023, Lingr was loaned-out to Feyenoord. During this spell, he won the Eredivisie and the Johan Cruyff Shield (Dutch Super Cup) with the club.

After returning to the club at the end of his loan spell in September 2024, Lingr continued to be a key player in Slavia Prague's first-team.

In his near four-and-a-half-year spell at Červenobílí, Lingr played 162 times for Slavia Prague in all competitions, scored 41 goals and assisted 12 times. During which, he has won the Czech Cup twice and the Czech First League once with the club.
