Leicester City lost 1-3 to Cologne in a friendly match. Casey McAteer was disappointed with the team's performance, but he is confident that Leicester can find their form and improve their performance before the new season.  

Germany took an early lead in Graz through goals from Sebastian Sebronsen and Luca Waldschmidt, but although Casey McAteer equalised for Leicester City, Florian Kainz sealed the victory with a late strike.  

Cathy McAteer said after the game: "This was a challenging game. The team failed to fully implement its tactical intentions in the first half. Facing a strong opponent, the team will learn from this defeat and fully prepare for the next game against Fiorentina at the King Power Stadium."  

“This is a memorable day, but we also have to realize that we are still in the pre-season stage and the results don’t tell the whole story. We have performed well in the previous few games. Although we always want to win, our performance still needs to be improved from the team’s own standards, and the game results reflect this.”  

"I believe I have the ability to score as long as I get a chance to shoot. For a striker, the most important thing is to appear in the right area. In this game, I found the position and took the opportunity, which is satisfying. But I will not be satisfied with this. I am eager to create more chances and strive to score two or even three goals in a game."  

"Striving is innate to me. I have a deep desire to improve. I train hard every day, hoping to get better step by step and continuously improve my performance."  

Leicester City are about to return to the UK to prepare for their friendly against Fiorentina next Sunday, which will be their last warm-up match before the start of the new season.
