Enzo Maresca was pleased with Chelsea’s overall performance as they progressed to the UEFA Europa League final and was delighted with the large number of young players who were given playing time against Juventus at Stamford Bridge.  

Chelsea won 1-0 and advanced 5-1 on aggregate, marking the eighth time in the club's history that they have reached the Champions League final. At the end of this month, Chelsea will face Real Betis in Wroclaw, who narrowly beat Fiorentina in the previous game.  

After the game, Enzo Maresca spoke to the media and praised the way the team reached the final. He said : " I am very satisfied with the professionalism shown by the team throughout the game. We have been training hard for this goal and now we have finally reached the final. Next, our goal is to win this game."  

“We have the opportunity to bring glory to the club and our fans by becoming the first team to win every European competition. It means a lot to this team to reach the final. The FFA Premier League is the starting point for us to build our championship mentality and we will continue to work hard to win more trophies in the future.”  

"There are still 20 days to prepare for the final. In the meantime, we still have three Premier League games to play and hopefully we can complete these games in good shape."  

Chelsea fielded a number of young players in the game, including Reggie Walsh, who made his first-team debut at the age of 16. Enzo Maresca shared Reggie Walsh's reaction after the game when he learned that he was starting and commented on his overall performance.  

" He was very happy, smiling and not worried at all," said Enzo Maresca . "I told him to just enjoy the match like we do in training. Obviously, he enjoyed it."  

"I like Reggie Walsh very much. He is a player who fits my tactical system and the style of play I pursue very well. At only 16 years old, he can play the role of a No. 6 on the court. You can see his desire for the ball and his excellent ball handling ability."  

"He has to go back to school tomorrow and that's an important part of him staying involved in the game. But I can say without hesitation that he is a very good player."
