Arsenal narrowly defeated Bournemouth with a 2-3 away win at the Vitality Stadium on matchday 20 of the 2025/26 Premier League season on Saturday.

In the first half, Evanilson capitalized on an awful mistake by Gabriel to score easily, but the latter quickly scored to make up for the error. In the second half, Rice scored twice, and Kroupi, scored with a wonder strike after coming off the bench, but it was too late. Ultimately, Arsenal secured a narrow 2-3 away victory against Bournemouth. After this round of matches, the Gunners remain atop the table with 48 points; the Cherries are currently 15th with 23 points.

First Half

In the 8th minute, Jürrien Timber passes horizontally from the right wing. Noni Madueke quickly followed up, got the ball, dribbled and cuts into the right side of the box before taking a powerful left-footed shot, but his shot flew high out of the pitch.

Two minutes later, Bournemouth launched a deadly quick counter-attack. Gabriel made a fatal error while passing the ball back from his own back half, allowing Evanilson, who have successfully beaten the offside trap to intercept the ball, before sending the ball into the bottom left corner of the empty net with a right-footed shot. Bournemouth broke the deadlock first to take a 1-0 lead!

In the 13th minute, Marcus Tavenier passes horizontally from the attacking third. Justin Kluivert quickly followed up, got to the ball and took a few steps before taking a right-footed long shot from outside the penalty area, but the his shot went just slightly wide of the top right corner of the post.

Three minutes later, Madueke passes horizontally from the byline at the right side of the box. Gabriel Martinelli quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, volleyed with his left foot from a very close distance in the box. His shot was initially blocked and cleared off not far away by Evanilson. Upon picking up the loose ball, Gabriel scored by volleying the ball into the top left corner of the net with a left-footed follow-up shot from a very close distance in the box. Arsenal pulled a goal back against Bournemouth at 1-1! The Brazil international defender quickly made amends for the mistake that led to the team conceding a goal!

At halftime, Bournemouth and Arsenal temporarily enter the break, tied at 1-1.

Second Half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 53rd minute, Bournemouth won a free kick. Kluivert took the free kick by sending a long ball over the top from outside the penalty area. After successfully beating the offside trap, David Brooks quickly followed up, got the ball and dribbled into the left side of the box before volleying with his left foot from a difficult angle, but his shot went slightly wide of the bottom right corner of the post.

One minute later, Martin Ødegaard passes horizontally from the center of the box. Declan Rice quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, took a right-footed long shot from the edge of the box that flew straight into the bottom right corner of the net, leaving Đorđe Petrović helpless. Arsenal came from behind to lead 1-2 over Bournemouth!

In the 71st minute, Bukayo Saka cuts the ball back from the byline at the right side of the box. Rice quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, volleyed the ball into the bottom right corner of the net with a right-footed shot, scoring his second goal in the match and extending Arsenal's lead to 1-3! This was the 18th goal that the England international defensive midfielder had scored for the Gunners!

Five minutes later, Lewis Cook passes horizontally from the attacking third. Eli Junior Kroupi quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before taking a right-footed shot long from outside the box which flew straight into the bottom right corner of the net, turning it into wonder strike that David Raya couldn't reach. Bournemouth pulled one back at 2-3!

When the final whistle is blown, Arsenal narrowly defeatied Bournemouth with a 2-3 away victory.
