10-man Crystal Palace defeated Dynamo Kyiv with a 0-2 away win the opening match on the 2025/26 UEFA Conference League League Phase at the Arena Lublin on Thursday.

In the first half, Muñoz scored with a header. In the second half, Nketiah slotted home from close range, while Sosa received a red card for stepping on Tymchyk's foot. Ultimately, 10-man Crystal Palace defeated Dynamo Kyiv with a 0-2 away win. With this match, the defending FA Cup and Community Shield champions extended their club record of 19 consecutive unbeaten games in all competitions, while the reigning Ukrainian Premier League champions fell to a five-game winless streak.

First Half

In the 24th minute, Borna Sosa crossed into the box from the left wing, but it was headed away by Mykola Shaparenko. Will Hughes quickly followed up an upon picking up the loose ball, fired a left-footed long shot from outside the penalty area, but his shot was blocked by Taras Mykhavko.

7 minutes later, Yéremy Pino crossed into the box from the left wing, was headed hme by Daniel Muñoz rose high in the box and scored with a header, giving Crystal Palace the lead at 0-1! This is the Crystal Palace Player of the Year's first goal in the UEFA Conference League after two years, and the Eagles' first European competition goal in the club's history!

In the 44th minute, Adam Wharton crossed into the box from the right wing. Borna Sosa, quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, strucked the ball with his left foot from a very close distance in the box, but his shot was saved by Ruslan Nescheret.

In the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time, Pino passes horizontally from near the midfield center circle was met by. Daichi Kamada quickly followed up,  got the ball, dribbled and cuts into the center of the box before striking the ball with his left foot, but his shot was saved by Nescheret.

At the end of the first half, Dynamo Kyiv trailed Crystal Palace 0-1 going into the break.

Second Half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 55th minute, Wharton made a straight pass from the front. Eddie Nketiah stopped the ball, adjusted his angle, and volleyed it into the bottom left corner of the net with his right foot from the center of the box. However, the linesman immediately raised his flag to rule the latter have been caught in offside position, and the goal was disallowed!

3 minutes later, Pino crossed into the box from the edge of the byline at the left wing. Upon receiving the pass, Nketiah strucked the ball into the lower center of the net from a very close distance in the box with a right-footed shot, extending Crystal Palace's lead to 0-2!

Yéremy Pino broke the record by becoming the first player to provide two assists on Crystal Palace's European competition debut!

In the 65th minute, Wharton made a straight pass from the midfield center circle. Nketiah quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before firing a right-footed long shot from outside the penalty area but his shot was saved by Nescheret.

In the 74th minute, Sosa was given a yellow card for a malicious flying tackle on Shola Ogundana while intercepting the ball in his own back half.

4 minutes later, he was given a red card for a vicious tackle on Oleksandr Tymchik's foot during a counterattack, causing the latter to be seriously injured and needed to be substituted. Crystal Palace suffered a major blow in a short period of time and was forced to finish the game with 10-man!

In the fourth minute of injury time, Nketiah made a straight pass from the left wing. Adam Wharton quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before volleying with his left foot  from the left side of the box, but his shot was saved by Nescheret.

When the full time whistle is blown, 10-man Crystal Palace defeated Dynamo Kyiv with a 0-2 away win.
