Porto announced on their official website on Saturday that former AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea Brazil legendary international defender Thiago Silva has rejoined the club on a free transfer.
According to the Portuguese Primeira Liga giants' official statement, Silva signed on a short-term contract which will only run until the end of the season, with an option to extend for another year.
Notably, this marks Silva's return to the club after a decade.
Furthermore, while sharing this news, CBS Sports' resident renowned transfer journalist Ben Jacobs, also took the opportunity to slapped the face of our website's notoriously infamous female rumourmonger, "Ms. Hype Up", who had been falsely claiming that Silva "might one day join Manchester United on a free transfer" since a year ago.
Jacobs hit out that no journalist in the industry had ever heard of Manchester United is interest in signing Silva. Not a year ago, not this year, and there's no indication they'll consider it next year and beyond. This rumour is clearly fabricated by "Ms. Hype Up" herself based on imagination!
