Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently shared his memories of his first time as a head coach and coaching the Golden State Warriors in a podcast, saying that the situation at the time was chaos.

Steve Kerr, 59, became the head coach of the Golden State Warriors in 2014 and led the Warriors to win the NBA championship with outstanding performance in the 2014/15 NBA season. Steve Kerr later led the team to win three NBA championships.

Talking about his first days coaching the Golden State Warriors, Steve Kerr shared, "It was chaos at the time, and I was really trying to push the tempo, the movement of the basketball, the concept of player movement, and the players really tried to do that in the first few days."

"Of course the first few days were a little chaotic because everyone was still unfamiliar with the game. But because it was my first year coaching and I was trying to introduce so many things, I was really nervous because the situation was terrible and the ball was flying all over the stadium."

In addition, Andrew Bogut, who once played for the Golden State Warriors, said, "Steve Kerr may be the strictest on Stephen Curry because Stephen Curry is very free and casual when playing. This is why he is so good, but sometimes he will make mistakes."

"So Steve Kerr would tell Stephen Curry that he was the core of our team and that we couldn't tolerate his overhead passes that were stolen and then turned into fast break layups. I remember many times that Steve Kerr would stop practice and correct Stephen Curry in front of the whole team, and he responded very positively to it."
