Werder Bremen announced on Thursday that they have signed Khobar Kudisia midfielder Cameron Puetas on loan. Puetas will play for Bremen for one season, with a buyout clause in the contract.

The official also confirmed that Puetas will wear the No. 18 jersey of Bremen.

Puertas, 27, was born in Lausanne, Switzerland to Spanish parents. He started his professional career at Lausanne Sports in July 2018 and has played 101 times for the team, scoring 11 goals and providing 14 assists.

In January 2022, Puetas joined Saint-Giros Union for €1.16 million. He played for Saint-Giros Union for three and a half seasons, contributing 21 goals and 24 assists in 118 appearances across all competitions, winning the Belgian First Division, Belgian Cup, and Belgian Super Cup.

In August 2024, Puetas transferred to Khubar Kudisiya for €15.3 million. To date, he has made 38 appearances for Khubar Kudisiya, scoring 5 goals and providing 11 assists.

Regarding Puetas' arrival, Bremen coach Horst Steffen commented: "Cameron can play in multiple midfield positions. During his time at Al Khobar Kudisiya, he showed the ability to threaten the goal and create opportunities for his teammates."

"He not only has excellent football skills but also excellent tactical understanding. He is very fast and dares to fight in the tackle. We are very happy to have him join us."

Puetas said: "I chose Werder Bremen as my next stop because it gives me the opportunity to play in the Bundesliga and face many fans. The Bundesliga has a huge audience and I am very much looking forward to wearing the Werder Bremen jersey.

As for his goals at Werder Bremen, Puetas said frankly: "I hope to help the team through assists, score goals myself and improve the team's overall level."
